U.S. Baseball Academy is committed to making our camps a safe environment for players, instructors, and spectators (where permitted). USBA hosts more than 200 camps annually in 40 plus states. As it relates to COVID-19 concerns regarding restrictions, this means we will have different requirements for nearly all locations. Additionally, as many are aware by now, much remains unknown and dates and other information are subject to change, especially as we enter the winter months. The information contained on this page is how U.S. Baseball Academy is approaching the health and safety of our players, but as camp approaches, it will be important to read all materials related to your camp regarding specific requirements set forth by not just city and/or state officials, but also by school districts. It is our goal to make sure you know exactly what to expect during camp. USBA will meet all requirements as set forth by local officials in each city.
Here are a few important details regarding our 2021 camp program:
Our cancellation and refund policy will remain the same for our camps. Our normal policy states, if a player needs to cancel, and it is more than 30 days prior to the start of camp, the cancellation fee is $50. Parents can expect a refund of all monies paid minus the stated $50 fee.
If the camp is less than 30 days prior to the originally scheduled start of camp, we are unable to offer a refund. The only exception to this policy is in the event camp is cancelled in its entirety. These policies are in place to account for camp fees associated with each registration that are made in advance of the program.
We understand the concerns parents face with the unknown so this year we are partnering with RegSaver to offer insurance on your camp fees. It is important to understand that this insurance will not cover fees in the event of another shut down, nor will it cover simply being uncomfortable sending your player because of COVID. It will, however, cover a host of other issues, including full coverage if your player, or a family member contract COVID-19. It also covers other illness, injuries, relocation, and more. USBA Camp Restrictions
We expect all locations to adhere to social distancing and parents should plan on limiting attendance to one parent, and no siblings. There may be locations that do not permit spectators at all. Masks will not be mandatory unless local restrictions require, but are recommended according to CDC an White House guidelines.
There will be absolutely no sharing of equipment, including food and water. Be sure your player brings his own water bottle and/or snacks.
